Cinnamon Roll Milkshake

Natalie’s Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Roll Milkshake

Have you ever eaten a big, goopy cinnamon roll and you get to the center of it and it’s doughy & wet, super sugary & cinnamony? Every bite of this milkshake tastes exactly like that.

So, if you’re experiencing a serious sweet tooth and love sticky cinnamon rolls, this recipe is for you! One of the best perks of a raw food diet is that we get to recreate all our favorite flavors with healthy ingredients that don’t weigh us down.

Plus it’s super FAST with simple ingredients, so you get nearly instant gratification. Best of all, unlike cinnamon rolls, this milkshake will leave you energized, lean, and glowing with radiant health!

I wish I’d known about this way of eating when I was pregnant. It really would have helped me with my insatiable sweet tooth! Oh, well. Live and learn, and I tend to learn he hard way. This raw vegan recipe was also one of my top featured creations in The Complete Book of Raw Food, Volume 2, which is a great read packed with recipes from top raw food chefs worldwide. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!

Yours in delicious heath!

Natalie's Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Roll Milkshake

Ingredients:

5 frozen bananas in chunks
10 medjool dates, pits removed (or 15-20 average-sized dates)
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Directions:

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender; you’ll need to go slowly at first and possibly scrape down the container (only scrape down when machine is turned off) because there’s no water in this to smooth it out right away. You’re essentially working with a frozen ice cream texture. Store finished product in airtight containers. I prefer glass jars with plastic lids, as pictured.
