Don’t Throw Away Those Broccoli Stems!
Budget-friendly, delicious tip:
Never toss out raw broccoli stems.
Using a high-quality, sharp chef knife, trim off the outside then cut up the inner stem into little batonettes (pictured) or thin squares. They are sweet, crunchy, and so delicious! Not to mention nutritious! Toss them into a salad with diced apple as an accent. Out of this world.
