Abundant fruit is also the best answer to a sweet tooth. In reality, we ALL have a “sweet tooth.” It’s just a natural need for healthy carbs. But culturally we have become so terrified of carbs that we under-eat them, resulting in ravenous cravings for refined sugars in the form of cookies, candies, pies, and cakes. Once we binge on those foods, we feel terrible, gain weight, and remain malnourished, creating a vicious cycle of overeating. 

Break the cycle and let yourself have fresh fruit! 

Empower yourself daily by making practical lifestyle choices that support your health goals. There is no such thing as “willpower.” It’s all STRATEGY. That’s great news, because anyone can learn effective strategies. There is nothing inherently wrong with you for having a sweet tooth. You’re just hungry and your body is asking for nutrients. 

TIP: Keep frozen fruit handy year-round so that you’ll always have smoothie ingredients on hand.

Peachy Keen Raw Vegan Smoothie

Ingredients:

4 cups frozen peaches
15 Halawi (small) dates or 7-8 medjool dates, remove the pits.
4 large bananas
2 mangoes
2-3 cups of water or as needed to achieve desired consistency.

Directions:

Blend in high-speed blender. Store your smoothies in glass jars with plastic lids for maximum freshness and convenience.
